Anyways, here is the fall/winter '09 collection from swedish brand Lagom. Nice tailored pieces with one leg in streetwear and one in the high end fashion world. Sasha Winter Coat, herringbone pattern with quilted lining keeps you warm. Kay Coat for the dressed up moments, assymetric cuts makes it stand out. Michell Jacket with nice colors and with a belt. Two new shirts from Adidas ObyO has arrived at Supermarket. Kazuki brings in fellow teammates from Neigborhood once again. As always it is focus on high tech materials. The shirts are lined with Diaplex, wich is almost like a living material. It adjusts itself to body temperature and weather climat. When cold it keeps you warm and when hot it cools you down. It is also water proof of course. Lots of details on the shirts such as zip pockets with KZK x NBHD labels, embroiderys and logo labels. Check it out.

Nu på fredag 11 september bjuder vi in Dig till Supermarket. Vi håller på från 18-20.

I de blåsigaste farvattnen på Danmarks västkust ligger fiskebyn Herning där Sören Niels Skyt (S.N.S) tillverkat sina unika stickade fiskartröjor sedan innan Andra Världskriget. Föga anade han att över 60 år senare skulle hans barnbarn som fortfarande driver företaget, kolaborera med märken som Commes Des Garcon och få high-fashion-världen att prisa hans livsverk.

Denna säsong har vi satsat större än någonsin på S.N.S. Herning och vi vill nu på fredag bjuda in dig på en releasefest i sann feskaranda för att du ska kunna ta del av dessa oslagbara kreationer till stickade tröjor. Vi kommer bjuda dig som osat till mikael@super-market.se eller tackat ja på Facebook-inbjudan, på nyfångad fisk i frigolitlåda och tidningspapper med en kryddig snaps och öl samt knäckebröd till. Another delivery from the Our Legacy A/W '09 collection just dropped down at Supermarket. As always well-tailored pieces and nice cutting. Probably the closest thing to a swedish Ralph Lauren. Preppy, dressed up and street at the same time. Take a look at the Heavy Waxed Parka, nice waxed surface, hood and lining that keeps you warm. The Old School Shirt made from rough hemp in a classic worker cut. Two blazers, the Japanese Bombed Blazer, unlined and made of woolmix, perfect for the autumn. The classic Corduroy Blazer with elbow patches and half lined with oxford textile. A heavy knitted piece in the Proper Cardigan with an almost hand knitted feeling to it. From Levi's Vintage Clothing A/W '09 Collection called Inside Out comes three new denim styles. The 1954's 501 Rootless Jean. A slimmer style from the fifties, made legendary by Marlon Brando and James Dean. Deep natural wear marks and torn details and a slight anti-fit. The 1947's 501 Guts for Garters Jean, also slimmer cut, torn and worn wash. Known as the definitive five pocket jean.
1967's 505 Cust Rigid Pre-Shrunk Jean is as the name says made of pre-shrunk denim, one of the first from Levi's. We also got a re-stock on the classic 1954's 501 Rigid, unwashed that is. All live and online now.

As you could read about in the last post, the Adidas ObyO series is live at Supermarket now. This post is all about the shoes! Kazuki teams up with Neigborhood once again and the result is the classic Campus 80's. Upper in finest suede. Kazuki tags on the tounge and the heel, and on the heel is also a mash up between the Adidas trefoil and the Neigborhood skull. Comes in black and royal. Kazuki also got hands on the ZXZ Felt and the outcome is a beast! Upper in premium leather, fine mesh and a pony hair structure in cow pattern. All online and in store now.

We really, I mean really like clothes that has something to tell, wether it's political prints, big braging logos or as in this case supreme storytelling just in the fabrics and cuts of the pieces. Levi's Vintage Clothing brings back styles that, even though they have many years behind still are top notch. The A/W '09 Collection goes by the name Inside Out and tells stories from the american prisons during the early 20th century. Den 30:e maj sker ju som ni alla vet galenskapet kallat Andra Långdagen. Förra året hängde närmare 3000 pers på gatan, det grillades, dracks en och annan öl, spelades musik och dansades. I år sker samma sak, men nu det skall dessutom cyklas!

Supermarket tillsammans med Our Legacy och Chrome Bags kör en kortare alleycat med start och målgång på Supermarket på Andra Långgatan 18. Startskottet går kl 14:00, och anmälan sker på info@super-market.se. Anmälningsavgiften är på 50 kr och betalas i butiken innan start. Fina priser från Chrome Bags och Our Legacy till de tre första i mål. Vi bjuder naturligtvis alla deltagare på en målgångs-öl.

Soulland STEAL @ Supermarket

We at Supermarket was really looking forward to get a hold of the spring delivery from danish brand Soulland. And what do yo know? The Soulland S/S '09 collection by the name STEAL just hit us. And going through the pieces I must say that I got very impressed. I actually snatched the Soulland Hervé Buttons Down Sweater right out of the box and added it to my wardrobe. This sweater is like a combo of that old school Lacoste polo from back in the days and a crew neck cardigan with buttons all the way on front.
Soulland was founded by Silas Adler at that time only 17 years old. Silas started making clothes as an excuse not going to school.
The pieces are well worked dressed up streetwear. Lots of colors, nice cuttings and details. For example the Soulland Gontcharova Pants with elastics in the waist and the legs. Nice rough denim-ish fabric. Now on Supermarket, in store and on web.

The creative minds behind Berlin based store Firmament/The Glade will soon release their "Boy´s Own" project. The iconic late 80´s and early 90´s artwork by Dave Little for the just as iconic record label Boy´s Own, has become a true reference point for the house and Balearic generation, and this collaboration with Firmanent is a truly exciting year long project of music and fashion. Supermarket has been selected to be the only store in Sweden carrying this project, that first out will consist of t-shirts and mix CD´s. This collaboration is from the heart, and not hype or money driven - just as it should be! Firmament/The Glade are the people behind the soon legendary online magazine Beinghunted, make sure to check that out on a steady basis... The goods has just been shipped from Berlin, so check back any day now for updates...

As you could read about a couple of posts ago, we told you about the S.N.S. Herning drops. Both S/S 09 and F/W 09. Now the spring collection is finally here at Supermarket. Three styles - the Flag, the Patent Zip and the Initial. The S/S Collection is made of cotton instead of wool but still has that genuin knit feeling. As always S.N.S. Herning shows off an amazing knit technique. Take a closer look at the Initial piece and you will find the initials S.N.S. hidden in the pattern. I rest my case.

Yet another drop from Edwin. Two styles of the ED-35 Loose fit. Great cut with slightley tapered legs. The pants has a genuin old denim feeling with a classic five pocket style with the chinch back, hand stamped rivets and button fly. We received one raw unwashed style with selvege denim and one pre-washed style light blue color with a worn out feeling. The unwashed style is made of 100% organic cotton and has details such as the green selvege, green leather patch and a green stiching over the back pockets. Also note the selvege detail inside the coin pocket. Go organic! At Supermarket right now.

The release of the gram x Skyward shoes a while ago was e pleasant evening. Lots of people stopped by to get a beer and check out the shoes and clothes from Annika Berger's Skyward - SWD. Now the shoes are available here at Supermarket both on web and in store. The shoes are all made of different fabrics such as goat leather, denim, suede and a paper-ish textile. All shoes are made out of the classic gram styles 401 g, 438 g and two versions of the 385 g. Every style is limited edition with only 150 pairs made of each.

Just finished our meeting with the classic danish brand S.N.S. Herning. We got a look at both the Spring/Summer '09 collection - soon to hit Supermarket - and the Fall/Winter '09 collection. I must say that I got very impressed! Their knitwork is simply amazing. The spring drop will be three styles consisting of the reverse knit Fisherman Zip, the Naval striped sweater and a crewneck yet to be released for the first time at Supermarket. The F/W '09 collection is going to be something special. A great mix of both classic styles and completly new pieces, new knit patterns and nice colors. Here is a sneak peak of some of the F/W '09 styles. Unfortunatly we weren't allowed to take pictures of the new pieces but it will be a crazy winter drop!

We are proud to announce that the official release party will be held at Supermarket, Andra Långgatan 18. Thursday the 26:th of March. The party starts around 17.00 and keeps on until 20.00. The spring drop from Levi's Vintage Clothing contains three new decade styles of the Levi's 501 jean, starting with 1927 followed by 1944 and ends with 1954. Going through the little book about Levi's 501 that comes with the 1954's is like gettin a small history lesson wrapped in denim. All from the late twenties when people started to wear belts instead of suspenders and causing Levi's to stop putting the chinch at the back of their jeans. Going in to the World War Two wich forced the American people to save up on materials that could be used in war factorys. Levi's did what they could to help and got the 501 a more slimmed fit. Cuttin down on the rivets and even stopped stitching the back pockets and instead drawed the stitches on them.

In 1954 stars like Marlon Brando and James Dean wore denim each and every day. The 501 became even more slim fit and for the first time a zip fly was used.
